Early Childhood Music Classes
Prices are based on each term or prorata prices are available upon application if you start during a term. There are four terms per year.
Caterpillars
(Newborn to 15 months).
This is 30-minute class once a week with babies and carers attending together. The class is full of singing, shaking instruments, storybooks and moving to music to stimulate baby’s brain and therefore all round development. The class stimulates all areas of the brain including social, emotional, physical, cognitive and language development.
Two CDs of songs and music used in the course is included in the course fee so that parents and babies can continue the activities at home and there fore increase the benefit of the program. Also included is one of the story books from class.
Tuition: 9 classes of 30 minutes
Adult present for whole class
Home Materials: 2 CDs of songs and music from class, story board book.
Payment: $170 includes materials pack.
Butterflies
(15 months to 3 year olds).
This is 30-minute class once a week with babies and carers attending together. The class is full of singing, shaking instruments, storybooks and moving to music to stimulate baby’s brain and therefore all round development. The class stimulates all areas of the brain including social, emotional, physical, cognitive and language development. This level also includes circle dances, tapping drums, learning to follow teachers instructions.
Two CDs of songs and music used in the course is included in the course fee and two of the instruments used in class so that parents and toddlers can continue the activities at home and there fore increase the benefit of the program.
Tuition: 9 classes of 30 minutes

Ladybugs
(3 to 4 ½ year olds).
This is 40-minute class once a week with children attending alone but carers join in for last 10 minutes. This is the start of getting their own independence and learning to work with a group of children along side a teacher. The class is full of singing, shaking instruments, storybooks and moving to music to stimulate 3 year olds brain and therefore all round development. The class stimulates all areas of the brain including social, emotional, physical cognitive and language development. This level also includes circle dances, tapping drums, learning to follow teacher’s instructions and puppets. The activities help in developing the foundation skills of music: beat, rhythm and pitch in preparation for the next level of the course that begins the road to learning piano/keyboard.
A CD of songs used in the course is included in the course fee so that the 3 year olds can continue the activities at home and show Mum and Dad what they have been learning and there fore increase the benefit of the program. One of the instruments from class and homework sheets of the beat activities from class are also included in the course fees. Parents are asked to get a scrapbook to paste the homework sheets into for safe keeping.

(4 year olds/pre preps.)
Introductory Piano Course
This BEGINNER PIANO/KEYBOARD course is a 40-minute class once a week with attending alone but carers join in for last 10 minutes. This is the start of piano/keyboard tuition. The class is full of singing, instruments, and moving to music as well as starting to apply basic knowledge learnt in our Lady Bug course to the piano/keyboard. It is a fun group class where children get to interact with each other and the teacher as they learn their first musical instrument. It is recommended that children have access to a piano or keyboard in the home to complete the weekly home activities.
Tuition: 9 classes of 40 minutes
Adult present last 10 minutes.
Home Materials: piano book.
Payment for tuition and materials: $190
Platypus
(Preps/grade one)
This course is for children who have graduated from Koalas or who are starting their music lessons and are in Grade one.
It is a piano course specially developed for children in this age group.
Tuition: 10 classes of 30 minutes $200
Home Materials: Term 1: deluxe starter kit: 3 books, two CDs, white board with magnets and markers, two soft toy animals, flashcards all in carry bag. $145 ( this will last for part of term 2)
Term 2: 3 books, two CDs, and flashcards. $105 ( this will last for term 3 as well)
Dingos Keyboard
(this program flows on from Platypus)
Tuition: 10 classes of 30 minutes $200 tuition only.
Materials are an extra fee and are charged as needed.
Frog Violin
(preps/grade one)
Introductory Violin Course
Similar to Koalas Keyboard using colours.
Tuition: 9 classes of 40 minutes Adult present last 10 minutes.
Home Materials: violin book.
Payment: $190
Violin : $230 includes violin and case. Approximately. Caryn will size the children for the correct size and then give an exact quote.
Turtle Violin (grade 2/3)
Starting to read the notes etc but still a beginner program.
Tuition: 10 classes of 30 minutes $200 tuition only.
